With temperatures on the rise, lots of people may be spending more time outdoors, but it’s important to remember the sun can be harmful.
An amber heat-health alert has been issued for the West Midlands via the Met Office.
The heat is likely to impact the health of vulnerable people – check on elderly family, neighbours, and friends to ensure they are coping during the hot weather.
If you feel unwell, dizzy, weak, anxious or have intense thirst, move to a cool place, rehydrate, and cool your body down.
Non-urgent advice: More information
There’s lots more information online to help you stay safe during hot weather. Visit the UKHSA and NHS websites including their pages on how to beat the heat and on heat exhaustion and heatstroke.
