Frequently Asked Questions

How do I find out about the Patient Portal?

You will receive text messages from the Screening Programme periodically to tell you:

  • Your result letter is ready following your most recent screening appointment
  • You have an upcoming appointment
  • You have missed an appointment

These texts now also include a link to the Patient Portal.

When do text messages get sent?

  • Appointment reminders are sent 3 days before the scheduled appointment
  • DNA messages are sent out the day after the missed appointment
  • Results text messages are sent soon after the grading process is complete

Why are all result letters not available?

You can download letters which we have sent to you. We may have a record of a previous appointment with a different provider, but we would not have a copy of your letter from that appointment. We may have images from that appointment, however.

Can I book a same-day appointment?

No. You can only re-book your existing appointment.
